Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing efforts for subsidiary in related commodity groups with international sourcing experience.
- Source steel and steel-fabricated parts.
- Identify and analyze new sourcing markets.
- Maintain an analytical, dynamic, and business-priority-focused approach.
- Work within a global organization.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills, including communication, results-driven focus, employee performance management, and development.
- Demonstrate strong technical skills in sourcing and procurement (contract negotiation, insourcing, outsourcing, supplier performance management, etc.).
- Manage personnel (both disciplinary and technical) of local commodity managers and buyers at the subsidiary.
- Present subsidiary targets and requirements, aligning them with global sourcing and commodity management targets.
- Achieve local targets and ensure strategic and tactical material availability for all stakeholders at the subsidiary.
- Conduct variance and gap analysis of the sourcing team's skill set, including training and development plans.
- Identify and implement necessary sourcing tools.
- Further develop sourcing and commodity strategies.
- Cooperate internationally within the global sourcing organization.
- Proactively report significant sourcing market developments to stakeholders.
- Actively support the implementation of local project management structures.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Preferably a master's degree in business, engineering, or science.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing and leadership.
- Experience in a technical environment (e.g., technical sourcing, design).
- Good knowledge of sourcing techniques, methods, processes, and strategies.
- Strong communication and assertiveness skills.
- Strong analytical and team skills.
