Position Overview:
An Illinois-based manufacturer is looking for a new Director of Operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the food & beverage industry and be adept in managing both the strategic and operational aspects of the business.
The Director of Operations will have the following responsibilities:
- Ensure plant operations run safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations while fostering a culture of excellence.
- Implement best practices and ongoing improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and optimize costs.
- Encourage and develop a culture that prioritizes safety, collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Engage in business development activities, including client interactions and contract negotiations.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to achieve cost-effective and profitable operations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement long-term strategies and goals.
The Director of Operations should have the following qualifications:
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in a senior leadership within the food & beverage industry.
- Strong leadership, financial acumen, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
