Director of Engineering - Embedded Systems
Location: Hauppauge, NY
Salary: $200,000 - $225,000 + Full Benefits + relocation assistance

The Role:
You will lead a team of highly skilled engineers in developing and enhancing firmware and software for high-voltage power supplies. You will play a critical role in overseeing the design, development, testing, and implementation of advanced embedded systems that drive our industry-leading products.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams (engineering, sales, operations) to align projects with business objectives.
- Drive research and innovation in embedded systems technology, including DSPs, FPGAs, MCUs, and SOMs.
- Manage project planning, risk assessment, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery.
- Partner with customers and internal teams to define product requirements and support pre- and post-sales efforts.
- Foster a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and teamwork within the Embedded Systems team.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in power electronics product development, with expertise in power conversion, analog circuit design, and magnetic principles.
- 7+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams in a global, manufacturing-focused environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, Verilog, VHDL, and RTOS-based firmware development.
- Strong project management skills with a strategic mindset and a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire teams.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10%).
