Overview
Our Client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Procurement Director to join their prestigious luxury hotel group, renowned for excellence and sophistication. This is an exciting opportunity to establish a new centralized Procurement function within their organization, which spans 50 locations globally and generates $1 billion in revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Establish Centralized Procurement Function: The Procurement Director will develop and implement a centralized procurement strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives of the hotel group, enhancing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Supplier Relationship Management: They will identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure quality service and product delivery that meets the luxury standards of the brand.
Cost Optimization: The Procurement Director will analyze current procurement practices and implement strategies to reduce costs while maintaining the quality and service excellence that the brand represents.
Team Development: They will build and lead a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Policy Development: The Procurement Director will create and enforce procurement policies and procedures that ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Market Analysis: Conducting market research and analysis will be essential to staying ahead of industry trends, ensuring the hotel group leverages best practices in procurement.
Stakeholder Engagement: They will collaborate with senior management, department heads, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure procurement strategies support operational goals.
Performance Metrics: The Procurement Director will establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure the success of procurement initiatives and report findings to executive leadership.
Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 10 years in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the hospitality or luxury goods industry.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required; an MBA or relevant professional certification is preferred.
