We are currently supporting one of our key clients who positions as a Tier-1 Multinational Fashion Retail Company, they are looking a senior talents who has strong fashion sense especially on womenswear, hands-on designing experiences and high capability in managing team with designer, product development, production and buying functions.
The role will oversee all aspects of the creative vision and output for the brand. This includes conceptualizing, designing, and executing collections aligned with the company's market positioning. The role demands a deep understanding of fast fashion cycles, customer preferences, and a strong ability to translate current trends into commercially viable products.
Responsibilities:
Vision and Strategy
- Define the creative vision and aesthetic direction for the brand, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Stay ahead of fashion trends, consumer insights, and competitive analysis to drive innovative designs.
- Develop seasonal themes and concepts, integrating global and regional influences to resonate with target markets.
Collection Design
- Oversee the design process, from initial concept sketches to final production, ensuring quality and brand integrity.
- Approve fabrics, patterns, and color palettes, balancing creativity with cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with merchandising teams to align designs with consumer demand and retail strategies.
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the design team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Provide clear guidance and constructive feedback to ensure the delivery of on-brand, trend-right collections.
- Manage relationships with freelance designers, artists, and other creative partners.
Brand Development
- Shape the visual identity of the brand across all touchpoints, including marketing campaigns, store layouts, and digital platforms.
- Partner with marketing and e-commerce teams to align product storytelling with brand messaging.
- Ensure consistency in brand representation across regional markets while allowing for local adaptations.
Collaboration
- Work closely with product development, supply chain, and technical teams to ensure designs are manufacturable at scale.
- Partner with sustainability teams to integrate eco-friendly materials and processes.
- Coordinate with sales and retail teams to gather feedback on design performance and consumer preferences.
Operation
- Manage design budgets, including prototyping and sampling costs.
- Approve design calendars and ensure adherence to critical path deadlines.
- Analyze collection performance metrics (sell-through rates, customer feedback) to refine future strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- At least 8+ years of experience in fashion design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role; experience in higher-value womenswear and the Chinese market is preferred. E-commerce brand experience is a plus.
- Exceptional understanding of market trends, consumer behaviors, and fashion dynamics.
- Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and familiarity with production processes.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and project management abilities.
- Fluency in English, both oral and written.
