Company Summary: A Fortune 300 manufacturing company is searching to add a Controls Engineer to its team! Given their rapid growth and success over the past years, they are looking to onboard a talented Controls and automation specialist to provide technical expertise to their complex process equipment.
As the Controls Engineer, you will:
- Lead the engineering efforts for capital projects, process enhancements, and addressing equipment lifecycle challenges.
- Develop and deploy efficient automation and control solutions for manufacturing systems.
- Collaborate with third-party integrators to ensure seamless integration of process equipment across multiple production facilities.
- Contribute to all project stages, including system design, prototype development, pre-installation testing, on-site commissioning, production support, staff training, and technology handoff.
- Supervise equipment construction and manufacturing at vendor facilities to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Manufacturing environment experience
- BSEE, BSCE or BSME
- Strong troubleshooting and programming expertise with Allen Bradly PLCs (ControlLogix PLCs v20 - preferred)
- Experienced with HMI design, VFDs
- Understanding of codes such as NEC, NFPA and other safety codes
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings through AutoCAD Electrical
- At least 2 years of experience working with process manufacturing equipment
- Collaborative team player
