The Commodity Manager is responsible for executing sourcing strategies and making informed procurement decisions while ensuring supply continuity, cost efficiency, timely delivery, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee purchasing, sourcing, and supplier relationship management for direct materials.
- Ensure timely delivery of procured items to meet business demands.
- Collaborate with engineering and sourcing teams to enhance quality, optimize schedules, standardize processes, and drive cost efficiencies.
- Conduct RFx processes to assess and establish alternative suppliers, ensuring seamless operations.
- Evaluate and engage with new suppliers to foster strong partnerships.
- Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging trends, sharing insights with stakeholders.
- Assess supplier capabilities and identify new sourcing opportunities based on evolving business needs.
- Uphold sound procurement practices, ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and timeline requirements.
- Adhere to company procurement policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- At least 8 years of experience in material procurement within a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in contract negotiation and development.
- Experience in high-tech or semiconductor manufacturing environments.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Office and SAP.
