We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Combustion Global Sourcing Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing combustion-related products and materials globally, ensuring optimal quality, cost, and delivery performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and operational needs while contributing to strategic sourcing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for combustion components and materials across global markets, ensuring alignment with quality standards and company goals.
Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Cost Analysis: Conduct market analysis and cost assessments to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value optimization within the supply chain.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to understand requirements and support new product development initiatives.
Performance Monitoring: Track supplier performance through metrics and KPIs, implementing corrective actions when necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform sourcing strategies and decisions.
Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply of critical components.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in global sourcing or procurement, preferably within the combustion or related industries.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving cost savings, MRO sourcing and supplier performance improvements.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and cultures.
- Knowledge of combustion technologies and materials is an advantage.
