We are collaborating with a global leader in the automotive industry dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation in the world of on-board electronics. They seek a dynamic and hungry Chief Supply Chain office with the same dedication to help the organisation continue to grow and fulfil its potential.
As the Chief Supply Chain Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire end-to-end supply chain function including planning, procurement, logistics, inventory management and distribution. Your impact delivering the highest quality best practices and processes, reducing costs whilst ensuring timely delivery to customers will be pivotal in the organisation's ability to take the next step and further solidify their status as a world leading organisation in their field.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute strategic plans for optimisation of the supply chain in line with business objectives.
- Oversee Procurement activities including vendor selection, contract negotiation and management of ongoing supplier relationships.
- Reduce stock wastage and carrying costs via best practice implementation for inventory management.
- Drive continuous improvement strategies to enhance supple chain quality, efficiency and reliability.
- Monitor KPIsand supply chain metrics to identify key target areas for improvement.
- Manage risk within the supply chain, identifying potential disruptions and developing mitigation strategies.
- Championing sustainability throughout the supply chain function to reduce the overall impact on the environment.
Key skills/experience:
- Proven history in mentoring and building a high-performing supply chain team.
- Evidence of success in developing and executing strategies responsible for driving business growth.
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of supply chain tools and software, such as ERP systems, planning software and transportation management systems
- Knowledge of industry best practices.
- Demonstrable leadership qualities and ability to develop and motivate teams
