Job Title: Buyer (3-Month Contract)

Responsibilities:

• Procurement & Supplier Management: Acquire and expedite materials to support production and project schedules, while managing supplier relationships.
• Order Processing & Monitoring: Handle planned orders and purchase requests, track order status, and resolve issues like nonconforming materials.
• Supplier Negotiations: Obtain and evaluate supplier quotes, negotiating for best terms, pricing, and lead times.
• Supply Chain Optimization: Identify alternative suppliers, coordinate material discontinuation, and work to minimize stockouts and increase inventory turnover.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to purchasing controls, ISO/FDA requirements, and other regulatory standards while preparing reports and metrics.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in manufacturing procurement, with ERP/MRP experience.
• Preferred Skills: Familiarity with electromechanical components, regulated industries (like Medical Devices), reading engineering drawings, and understanding supply chains in manufacturing.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Work Environment:

• Location: Onsite at a manufacturing facility.
• Physical Requirements: Computer work with occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs) and exposure to moderate noise.
• Travel: Up to 10% travel, occasionally requiring overnight stays.
