Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting a Branch Manager for our client, a leading logistics service provider based near Rotterdam. As the Branch Manager, you will oversee the full spectrum of operations at the Rotterdam branch, driving business growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will manage day-to-day logistics operations, lead a team of professionals, and maintain strong client relationships to foster the company's reputation and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies that align with company objectives, driving business growth and branch performance.
- Operational Management: Oversee end-to-end logistics processes, ensuring the efficient handling of shipments, warehouse management, and transportation services.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team, cultivating a high-performance culture and supporting professional development.
- Financial Oversight: Manage branch budgets, monitor KPIs, and drive cost-efficiency while achieving revenue and profitability targets.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain and build strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all operations comply with local regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the branch's client base and services.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed performance reports and present insights to senior management to guide strategic decisions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Skills: Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Operational experience in ISO Tank (chemicals) Logistics is important.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and Dutch is required.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of freight forwarding, customs procedures, and the European logistics landscape.
