To support their continued growth, our client is looking for an Automation Engineer to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose issues and errors at the PLC, control system, and AS control level.
- Support projects through the planning, execution, and evaluation of automated tests, including test result analysis.
- Maintain and operate systems and equipment, performing fault and error analysis.
- Create, analyse, execute, and maintain automated test cases using various tools or frameworks.
- Expand, optimize, and continuously improve systems and processes, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and technical regulations.
- Provide accurate technical and GMP-compliant documentation, working closely with quality assurance and other departments.
- Compile technical documentation, develop system and process know-how, and prepare SOP documentation and training materials.
Your Profile:
- A degree in engineering with a focus on automation technology, electrical engineering, computer science, or related training.
- Strong knowledge of common Siemens automation systems (e.g., PCS7, Step 7, WinCC, TIA Portal).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, AWL, JavaScript, or similar.
- Basic knowledge of higher-level control systems (e.g., MES, ERP) and process-related IT.
- Solid understanding of project management methods, project development, concept creation, and tendering processes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Fluency in German and English.
- Strong IT skills.
- Previous experience in industries such as pharmaceutical, chemical, food and beverage, or semiconductor is advantageous.
- Team spirit, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for tackling exciting challenges.
